Olio Officina Festival 2023
Cristina Santagata will participate in the 12th edition of the Olio Officina Festival to be held between 2nd and 4th March in Milan at Palazzo delle Stelline. This year’s theme: ‘Oil is progress’.
“Oil from olives is the most concrete sign of what man has achieved for his own good and nourishment. Saying that oil is progress therefore becomes fundamental to understanding possible future scenarios. To reject change would be to betray what has been achieved over millennia. And it would be a bit like stopping and retreating, causing the olive tree to regress from a domesticated tree to a wild shrub as it was at the beginning of time. Without progress, the very meaning of civilisation is nullified.
The generational transition in olive oil enterprises. What happens in Italy.
Saturday 4th March 2023 at 10:45 a.m., Leonardo Hall
Once again this year the international event dedicated to extra virgin olive oil will address important issues such as the generational transition in Italian olive oil companies. It is precisely on this topic that Cristina Santagata, CEO of Santagata 1907, will speak, together with Maria Flora Monini, image communication and external relations manager of Monini Spa; Carolina Clarici Monini, marketing manager of Monini Spa; and Nicola Pantaleo, CEO of Nicola Pantaleo Spa.
There can be no progress if there is no handover. There are many family-run businesses in the olive and oil sector. Whether large or small companies, there is often no difference. The issue of continuity is among the most debated. The question arises as to how this transition can be regulated by favouring a fruitful confrontation between visions that sometimes differ, but which can and must complement and reconcile.
Highlight event will be “Children’s Oil. Oil for children” on Thursday 2nd March in the Sala Leonardo at 5 pm. Issue 15 of the OOF International Magazine is entirely dedicated to children, and it is surprising how much interest and curiosity is already aroused at an early age, so it is good to nurture the new generations and educate them to become tomorrow’s conscious consumers.
During the event, the ‘Personality of the Year 2022’ awards will be presented to Carlo Gherardi and the ‘Olio Officina – Oil Culture’ award to Eddo Rugini, Andrea Carrassi, Giovanni Salvagno and Mauro Olivieri.
