The Nowtilus Project
The 2nd edition of the Nowtilus project, a pathway aimed at supporting innovation and technologies for the blue economy sector in Liguria that we have gladly decided to support, is in full swing.
Nowtilus began its journey in 2021 with the aim of bringing innovation in the blue economy and going in search of future talents in the maritime field, to train them and support them in their activities. This year it is looking for aspiring startuppers and entrepreneurs, anyone with an innovative idea for the sector, students and university spin-offs, and employees of companies active in the sector, in different fields of work:
- Shipbuilding (innovative materials, maintenance (AR, VR), Smart Yard, Safety at work, process optimization and digitization);
- Logistics & Shipping (Autonomous Shipping, Optimize Sailing, Smart Ship, Blockchain technology for document credit, digitization of services);
- Sustainability & Renewable Energy (Emissions Monitoring & Reduction, Material Sustainability, Sea Cleanliness, Cold Ironing, Energy Efficiency);
- Tourism (Destination Management, land enhancement, guest tracking and tracing, hospitality services, safe travel).
More than 50 applications were received for the project and 8 start-ups were selected that will carry out their incubation program, 10 weeks of training and business training, from 5th September to 28th October.
