Liscio come l’olio – The programme
Between 11th and 13th May, the national competition for high schools “Liscio come l’olio” will be held, a unique opportunity to highlight oil not only as a condiment but also as a fundamental and indispensable ingredient of both traditional and creative cuisine.
This event, which is the result of a collaboration between Santagata 1907, the official supplier of EVO oil, and the Nino Bergese Hotel Institute in Genoa, will not only give students the opportunity to prepare original recipes using EVO oil as the main ingredient, but also, through the creation of a sustainable cooking model, to address important culinary issues: food waste, health benefits and the enhancement of local resources.
The dishes prepared by the contestants will be judged by a selected panel of judges and the winning Institute will receive a supply of one hundred litres of high quality EVO oil from Santagata 1907. Prizes will also be awarded to the institutes that stand out for their originality, innovation and sustainability.
